The Dunmurry Community Association (DCA) is a long-established, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the quality of life for everyone living in the Dunmurry area. Established in 1973, the Association has worked for over 50 years to support local residents, strengthen community life and promote positive change.
Our aim is to improve opportunities and wellbeing by identifying local needs and working in partnership with residents, statutory agencies, voluntary organisations and other stakeholders to deliver projects and services that benefit the community. We are committed to building community capacity through training, leadership development, volunteering and encouraging local people to have a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.
DCA delivers a wide range of community activities throughout the year, bringing people together, promoting health and wellbeing, reducing social isolation and strengthening community spirit. We also work closely with Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) organisations and other community groups to promote good relations, inclusion and cultural understanding.
The Association is governed by an elected voluntary Management Committee, with volunteering at the heart of everything we do.
We are here for you. We work hard to be a resource for our community. Do you have ideas about how we could do that better? Join us!
